Nice article. Just wanted to let you know that the word for &#039;musical saw player&#039; is &#039;sawist&#039; (not &#039;sawyer&#039;). &#039;Sawyer&#039; is a person whose profession is to cut wood for fireplaces (popular occupancy in South Carolina in the days immediately post slavery).

If you happen to visit NYC in July...come to the annual NYC Musical Saw Festival. This is a video of the TV news coverage of last year&#039;s festival:
