Amelia Earhart flew into the Anderson, SC airport in her Pitcairn Autogiro PCA-2 on November 14, 1931 and attracted over 1,000 spectators.

Middlesboro, KY. The only US city now known to be built within a meteor crater. Erosion & vegetation have hidden most signs of crater impact.
