Giant Chro-Mo Ginger Beer, ‘the drink that everybody likes’

North Tazewell, VA was once home of one of the largest carbonated beverage bottling plants in Virginia, a local landmark from 1910 until 1960.

Journalist Bill Sharpe referred to Mt Mitchell as “the old mountain of mystery & death.” The lofty peak has certainly earned this appellation.

Dr. Lucy Braun contributed mightily to the fields of vascular plant taxonomy, plant geography, plant ecology, and land conservation.
