Mailing babies via Parcel Post

Parcel Post Service became available to Americans on January 1, 1913. It didn’t take long for citizens to get creative on what to send.

There are plenty of family reunions in AL, but how many can claim their very own cove, complete with a pavilion in case of rain?

In two short years our house of cards had fallen. We were 6 orphans. The oldest 17 & youngest 3 years. Mother lies beside father on the hill.

The work of the mountain mother is burdensome and she bears more than her share of responsibilities of the household.
