June bride? Time for a shivaree!

Shivaree: a 19th & early 20th century Appalachian custom (originated in 16th century France) of teasing a couple on their wedding night.

The ‘Harding Bee Hive’ from Harding Junior High School in Steubenville, OH gives us the love story of Jimmy and Virginia.

One of Noble County’s more baffling murder cases began on November 5, 1905, when the family of William Leisure found him shot dead.

Mac Wiseman, nicknamed “The Voice with a Heart,” grew up influenced by traditional and religious music and such radio stars as Montana Slim Carter.

They pulled it out a yard long; and they doubled it back, and pulled it out; and when it began to look like gold the sweethearts paired off.
