Meeting princes at the gate of Rugby, in the New World

Rugby Colony was founded by English author/social reformer Thomas Hughes in the eastern TN mountains in 1880, but was in trouble by the 1890s.

Welsh prince Madoc ab Owain Gwynedd sailed into what is now Mobile Bay, AL in 1170 A.D. and established forts along the Alabama River.

The most famous Welsh settlement in Ameria is Brynyffynnon in eastern Tennessee, established in 1855 by Samuel Roberts of Llanbrynmair.
