Appalachian clog dancing

Clogging is an expressive style of American dance with origins in the folk dances of the British Isles, Africa, and pre-Columbian America.

Groceries were from all different places. Some I bought from wholesale grocers in Stanton. Some from different places in this state.

The textile industry grew quickly after 1880, and SC was one of the leading textile-producing states nationally for the next 40 years.

Middlesboro Country Club’s golf course is the oldest continuously played course in the United States, the second oldest course in the nation.
