An 1898 ad for Dr. Pierce’s Favorite Prescription

Elixirs such as Dr. Pierce’s were often sold by traveling medicine shows, such as the one shown setting up here in Morgantown, WV.

Dr. William Henry Burritt left his mountaintop estate to Huntsville, AL in 1955, and in doing so, provided that city’s first public museum.

Thompson’s Bromine and Arsenic Springs is a good representative of a segment of our social heritage, of which only a few survive.
